Picture Day

Can someone please explain to me why it's so hard to take decent family portraits? Or at least when you try to take them when you have an infant, baby and toddler. Actually my infant was very cranky on the way to the shoot and yelled as I walked through the mall on the way to Sears Portrait studio. She settled down once I fed her and swaddled her and held her close to my breasts. And guess what happened next, the two older children became cranky and didnl't want to take picrture and when after about an hour we placed the infant down to give it a go, she performed like a super model on a run way in Paris. LOL. Go figure. See for yourselves.
